Newport News Day 3 (aka: "Oh yeah, we do have to work...")
Work, work, work. Both of us had to put in a solid day of work today. We needed to make sure we were keeping on top of everything workwise. I must admit that it was quite easy to stay focused while working in The Bungalow (if I use the name over and over again I hoping that Bill will get used to it). We did take a couple of short hikes around the park to it's beauty. We came across a couple of protected Civil War earthworks which were trench/bunkers that were possibly used as defenses during the Civil War. Fortunately the Fall colors were in full force. The area was beautiful, highlighted by sunlight.
Our outing for the day was for a fun dinner at Harpoon Larry's Fish House and Oyster Bar in Newport News. We can highly recommend this place. Their rum runner drink was fantastic. I had the crab cakes and Bill had the shrimp po boy sandwich. Both were great choices. The place was hopin'. Always stop at a restaurant that has a full parking lot.

We also really like to go to places that are local and not chains. I can go to Outback Steakhouse anywhere. So when we get out of our area, finding quirky places is great. They also often have much better food as well.
We headed back to our tiny house. Bill put his lounge area together and I headed to watch tv in bed. Not a bad way to spend an evening. Loving the RV life.

One of the biggest challenges for us was to make sure we had enough/fast enough internet to really work. So far we've used two things.
1) A Pepwave Cellular Modem attached to a Mimo Antenna array on top of the RV. That's a commercial grade modem and WI-FI solution that worked great for us.
2) Upgraded 5G phones on T-Mobile, which so far has been a great choice.
Between the two of those we've been able to work and play just like we were back at home. TV has been via streaming services, Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime. Helen's favorite time of the day I think is when she can get into bed and turn the TV to watch some of her shows. We have a Roku stick which works fantastic and just attaches to the Pepwave modem.
